In Olón, people enjoy nature, a pristine, long and wide beach with white sand. Surfing and swimming is not only a popular past time amoung the younger visitors but also those young at heart. Even though Olón is not as busy as Montañita, it attracts many tourists looking for a place to relax, to rest and to be in harmony with nature.

The church sanctuary and its lookout is one of the most visited places by tourists. The views of the town, the mountains, the beach and the ocean are astonishing.

Olón is also surrounded by mountains and forest where wild life and many exotic birds can be seen. There, in the beautiful mountains there are cascades and rock pools where people can refresh themselves among nature and wonderful old trees.

Access to the cascades is neither easy nor hard but is worth the effort.

Ayangue and Salango, towns located half an hour south and north of Olón, are great places to do snorkeling and practicing scuba diving.
